Alberto was born in Pucallpa, Peru and he started working with the medicines when he was 14 years old.  He comes from a generation of Shipibas Yuhuas and his grandfather was a curandero near Iquitos in the village of Manitin.  Alberto became a student of a grand maestro from the indigenous race of the Yuhuas tribe and after many years of studying and making many long "dietas" with the master plants and the mother plant Ayahuasca, he began to learn the world of the plant medicines of the Amazon.

After 15 years of working with the plant medicines in Pucallpa and Iquitos, he moved to Tarapoto where he decided to establish and create his own center of healing called Urku Chaqui, near the village of San Antonio de Cumbaza.  There, he offers profound and powerful plant medicines to clients from all over the world and helps them to heal, cleanse and achieve better lives on all levels.  With his knowledge of many master plants he offers healing and cures for many different types of illnesses; physical, emotional and spiritual with his special plant medicines, which he makes himself at his center.  People come to stay and make dietas with the plants and take Ayahuasca ceremonies at the center and enjoy the beautiful Cumbaza river and the nearby waterfalls and serene jungle walks in the mountains.

The Rehabilitation, concentration and spirituality meditation center of natural medicine "URKU CHAQUI", opened its doors to the general public in the city of Tarapoto - San Martín - Peru, since April 4, 2009, is a non-profit association profit. Founded thanks to Mr. Alberto Ferrari, with the purpose of revaluing, preserving, experimenting and researching to spread the values ​​of traditional medicine

Objectives.

  • Create a botanical garden to recover all the medicinal plant species of the Amazon, promote their study, preserve genetic material, and spread their healing properties.
  • Carry out, encourage and promote through direct action, studies, scientific research projects, to establish a dialogue between scientific medicine and traditional Amazonian medicine.
